Herbal medicine walks - £15 /person per hour 

(usually 2 - 3 hours)

Guided walks during late Spring, Summer and Autumn months are suitable for people of all ages. Where you can identify and learn more about common wild plants, their medicinal action, historical use, folklore, harvesting and preparation. You will be amazed at how many useful plants can be found. Be it woodland, river-side or meadow, we are sure to find a variety of interesting plants to meet and get to know.

Kitchen remedies - £20 - £50 / person (usually 2-3 hours to full day - min 5, max 10 people)

These workshops are designed to provide you with a basic herbal first aid kit, which you can keep well stocked with preparations easily made in your home. Learn how to make cough syrups, indigestion tablets, burn gel, drawing ointment for splinters, a soothing ointment for bites and stings, sprains and strains ointment. All materials are provided and a handout containing recipes and information is provided These workshops can be done individually or as a full day event.

Herbal first aid kits that can be used alongside the usual first aid kit, will be available for sale and can be individualized to your personal requirement, ie.  for traveling, baby care, dental, sport, or hayfever.

 

Ointment, cream or lip balm making workshops - £30 / person (usually 2-3 hours - min 5, max 10 people)

The workshops that I run, offer a variety of fun, informal yet informative days where people of all ages and backgrounds can learn more about herbal medicine and holistic therapies in practice. All workshops can be tailored to suit the needs of the group and timescale it is intended for.

These are a hands on and instructive workshop to make creams, ointments or lip balms from a variety of raw ingredients which may help to treat certain conditions. You will be shown how to make ointments and balms using plant oils, beeswax and essential oils. Samples can be taken home, and ‘make your own’ kits are available for sale for your own use, or as a special gift.

Oils and Vinegars - £30 / person (usually 2-3 hours - min 5, max 10 people)

Oils and vinegars have been highly prized throughout the ages for their beneficial health giving properties. This workshop demonstrates how to make herbal infused oils and vinegars for home use. This includes the famous four thieves vinegar which was said to be used during the times of the plague to boost immunity.

Herbarium Workshop by microwave - £75 / person (usually 4 - 5  hours – min 5, max 10 people)

Pressing and preserving flowers has been enjoyed by many. This workshop is an opportunity to explore using the microwave for fast results without having to wait days or weeks, in order to begin an herbarium, which is a good way to learn and document the medicinal plants growing around us.
